Broadcast a VirtualDJ set to your station.

VirtualDJ is DJ software for Windows and Mac. Check that your VirtualDJ licence includes broadcasting to your own server.

Connection values

Server typeSHOUTcast (v1 / legacy)
Address / hostYour station address, for example yourstation.radiohost.net
PortThe live DJ port shown in your panel under Live DJ → Connection Info
PasswordYour live DJ password (not the stream password)
Mountpoint / userLeave empty
FormatMP3, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo
Where are my values? Open your panel, go to Live DJ and look at the card Go live: set up your encoder. Address, port and password are filled in for your station and each has a copy button.

Set up VirtualDJ

  1. Open Settings → Broadcast.
  2. Choose Broadcast to a radio server.
  3. Click Config, choose server type Shoutcast and enter address, port and password.
  4. Set format MP3, 128 kbps.
  5. Click Start. VirtualDJ shows the connection status.

If it doesn't connect

  • Check that you used the live DJ port from the panel, not your stream port.
  • Check that you used the live DJ password (or a DJ account password), not the stream password from Broadcast.
  • SHOUTcast v1 programs also use the next port up automatically. Make sure your firewall or network allows both.
