Upload and organize music

1 min readUpdated November 8, 2026

Upload MP3s in the panel or by FTP and sort them into folders the AutoDJ can use.

Three kinds of audio

The Uploads page has three tabs:

  • Music is what the AutoDJ plays.
  • Background music plays under spoken AI announcements and news.
  • Announcements are your jingles, station IDs and ads.

Upload in the panel

  1. Open Uploads and pick the tab.
  2. Optional: choose a folder under Playlist Folders first. New files go into the selected folder.
  3. Drag your files into the upload box, or click to pick them.

Only MP3 files are accepted. New songs are available to the AutoDJ within a minute. The Dashboard shows your disk usage.

Folders

Create folders with New Folder, for example Morning, Top 50 or Chill. Each folder can be scheduled at certain times. Schedule folders. Empty folders can be deleted.

Large libraries: use FTP

For hundreds of songs, FTP is faster. Your FTP host, port, user and password are in Broadcast → FTP Information. Use any FTP program, for example FileZilla.

Tags and covers

The AutoDJ reads artist and title from the MP3 tags. Fill them in before you upload so listeners see the right song. Album covers are looked up automatically for the station page.
