Move from another host

1 min readUpdated November 8, 2026

Bring your music, schedule, DJs and listeners over from your old provider without losing anyone.

Moving takes about an hour for most stations. Keep your old stream running until the new one is ready, then switch.

1. Move your music

Download your MP3 files from the old host. Upload them in Uploads, or for large libraries use FTP. The FTP details are in Broadcast → FTP Information. Keep your folder structure: each folder can become a playlist.

2. Rebuild your schedule

Recreate your timed playlists in Scheduler. The weekly view lets you click an hour to add a block. How the schedule works

3. Give your DJs new details

Create a live DJ account for each presenter and send them the new address, port and password. Their software only needs those three values changed. Live DJ accounts

4. Switch your players and links

Replace the old stream URL on your website, apps and directory listings with the new one from Broadcast. If you embed a player, you can use our web player instead.

We can help

Open a support ticket with your old provider's name and we'll help you plan the move.
